Black Trans Advocacy Conference

We are happy to announce our invitation to our International Black Trans Community to participate in the 11th National Black Trans Advocacy Conference

To attend the BTAC24 conference traveling to the U.S. from abroad, you will need either a visa waiver (check here to check whether you qualify), or a non-immigrant visa. If you plan to apply for a B-1 or B-2 visitor visa to attend the conference, you may be required to include an Invitation Letter as part of your visa petition to the U.S. Department of State.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Your name must be listed on the form exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name listed on your invitation letter and your passport could lead to a delay.
 
  • Each individual requesting an invitation letter must fill out a separate form. All letters will be sent in PDF form to the e-mail address provided. 
 
  • Attendees are responsible for covering all expenses related to their attendance, including flights, hotel and conference registration.

 

  • We recommend that you apply for your travel visa as early as possible to avoid cancellation.
 
  • BTAC is unable to contact U.S. Embassies in support of an individual attempting to gain entry to attend the meeting.
 
Requirements to apply for Conference Invitation Letter
 
  • Registration: First, you need to register for the conference before issuing an invitation letter.
 
  • Passport Information: You must provide your passport information including the full name, passport number, date of birth, and passport expiration date. 
 
  • Purpose of Travel: You will need to provide a detailed explanation of why you want to attend the conference. The explanation should include the conference’s topic, the relevance to the individual’s profession or research, and how attending the conference will benefit you.
 
  • Accommodation and Flight Details: You will need to provide details of your travel plans.
 
  • Payment Confirmation: When you pay for the conference registration process, ensure you have your order number from your receipt.
