With approximately 50 community members from as far as NY, NC, PA, Southern MD, and DC were in attendance of the event hosted by Black Trans Advocacy Maryland/DC Leadership Vann Millhouse, Merrick Moses and Mykell Hatcher-McLarin.

The summit highlighted key issues such as HIV/AIDS and its impact on Transmasculine communities, Transhealth issues such as responsible intimacy, and the most intriguing part of the day was hearing from Elders who shared their stories about life before the word 'Trans'. Kylar Broadus of TPoCC, Monica Stevens of Sistas of the 'T', Alex G of BTMI, Sandy Diore of Trans and Making A Difference, Ken Jiretsu of BTMI, Karen Holmes a BTA supporter and 2016 Mr Black Trans International Dane Ray gave insight to the summit attendees.

Carter Brown, Founder and CEO of Black Transmen Inc, along TreShaun Pate the new BTAC Coordinator visited Baltimore from Dallas, TX and AJ Scruggs of BTA PA to thank the Baltimore community for supporting this important work.  Deb Dunn of Chase Brexton , Star Track and the Baltimore City Health Department, and Trans Parent Network4You were in attendance to lend to the healthy discussions about gender variant communities and how to provide better services to these communities.
