The goal of this fundraiser is to shine light upon not only black lives, but black trans lives. According to research from the US Trans Survey; due to the anti-transgender bias and structural individual racism Black trans and gender non-conforming people are experiencing the highest level of discrimination of all trans people. This issue is not talked about enough so we are calling upon our fellow athletes to fight for something beyond themselves.
