As our country, and the world around us cries out for change, mother’s just like me are consumed with anger and fear for the future of their children’s life in America. We often feel helpless to make real change, however sometimes supporting the ones who will go out and fight for us, allows us to be a part of the change.
This year, as I celebrate my 46th birthday, I am asking for a very special gift from all of you. Help me, help those who have the resources and tools to do the work. To make this world a place where all of my children, including my Black-Indian, Deaf, Transgender child – has the same respect, rights and liberties as yours. Give a dollar, or any amount that is in your heart, but please give. This is for Zee.
BTAC, is a national advocacy center with affiliate state chapters working daily to end discrimination and inequities faced in health, employment, housing and education to improve the lived experience of transgender people. BTAC’s work is based in peace building, community education, public policy initiatives, empowerment programs and direct services.
