We are happy to announce our invitation to submit workshop proposals for the 11th Annual National Black Trans Advocacy Conference!
The Black Trans Advocacy Conference provides thought-provoking and stimulating forum opportunities for educators of all disciplines and experience levels to share practical ideas and best practices that advance black trans equality and that are particularly focused on ending the disparities faced by trans people in health, housing, employment and education.
If you want to learn or impact our Black Trans Community, you need to be at events where we gather and talk about our issues.

Each year, the BTAC Annual Conference & Gala hosts over 500 attendees participating in 50 workshops and 5 summits. By presenting at an annual conference, you’ll have the opportunity to build your professional network and share your experience and ideas with others.
Our BTAC24 conference theme is “Believe in Tran Joy, Freedom & Victory”!

Holistic Wellness: Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Intellectual, Occupational, Financial, Environmental Wellness topics
Professional Development Track
- Transgender Cultural Competency and Community Organizing topics for Health Care, Housing Service Providers, Employers, Faith Community, Law Enforcement.
- Direct action organizing, Healing justice, Organizational strengthening, Staff development and cross-movement topics for Community Based Organizations.
Building stronger families, community organizing and advocacy topics for trans-kids age 12-17 and their parents.
Building stronger relationships, community organizing and advocacy topics for trans-attracted, dating, and married couples
Aging, community organizing and advocacy topics for adults age 55+
Social Advocacy Training: Community education, community organizing, community Service, philanthropy, fundraising and Coalition Building topics
Mentor Advocacy Training: Structured identity development & holistic wellness based topics for mentors
Health Advocacy Training: Physical and mental health service access, education and public policy activism.
Housing Advocacy Training: Emergency, transitional, supportive housing service access, education and public policy activism.
Employment Advocacy Training: Job readiness, access, education and public policy activism.
Anti Violence Advocacy Training: Hate crimes, sexual assault, criminal justice education and public policy activism
Presenter Details
Proposal Deadline: Due to the limitations in space, proposals submitted prior to the deadline will be scheduled first. If you have missed the deadline, late proposals are accepted and will be considered as space is available. The deadline to submit presentation proposals is February 1.

Honorarium/Presenter Fees: Presenters provide free workshops to the public. Honorarium/Presenter Fees are not compensated.
Travel Accommodations: Presenters are responsible for their own, lodging and travel arrangements.
Conference Registration: Approved workshops are provided with Complimentary Presenter Conference Registration. Each presenter must be registered online on or before the March 1 deadline.
We are preparing to provide free education and empowerment opportunities for 500 trans and gender nonconforming individuals as well as family, friends and allies. Target Audience: Trans*, Transmen, Transwomen, Spouses/Partners, Seniors 55+.
Approved workshops will be added online allowing up to 50 attendees to register for your course and the ability to connect with the instructor after the course has ended. General Workshop sessions are offered Wednesday – Friday 9AM -4PM
Approved workshops will be offered in 45-minute increments of course education.
A/V projector, sound and screens will be provided as needed. Please indicate your need on the workshop proposal.
Attendees should be provided time to complete a workshop evaluation at the end of each session. Presenters will be provided the evaluations electronically after the conference.
